Biography of Mr. Nandan Nilekani
Nandan Nilekani is an inspirational leader and a visionary entrepreneur.
After a successful tenure with Infosys, a leading IT solutions provider, he was appointed to the post by the central government. After Narayanamurthy's exit, it was his able leadership that kept Infosys afloat.
Nilekani studied in higher educational institutions during his growing up years. After completing his schooling at St Joseph's High Schools Dharwad and Bishop Cotton Boys School, Nilekani studied Electrical Engineering at IIT Mumbai.
Through his years of experience in learning and working, he is well aware of the importance of quality education and infrastructure. This is reflected in his work style. He does not believe in sitting at the top but gets the job done at the grass roots level. Fabian's socialist ideals influenced him in his formative years.

Nandan has completed the task of obtaining identity information from 46 million Indians and is currently on track to prepare 60 billion Aadhaar numbers before the deadline. It is remarkable to complete such a huge task in record time.
He wrote Imagining India in 2009, which describes his vision of a developing nation. He specifically mentioned India's young urban workers, who have the potential to lead towards a sustainable future.
