1. Sri Ayyappa Temple :


This temple is the most famous in the city. It was built in the mid 19th century. Sri Dharma Shasta Bhakta Jana Sabha built the temple. It is open daily from 5 am to 9 pm. Pujas are held every morning in this temple. This holy pilgrimage also organizes festivals and seasonal pujas.

2. Sri Jayamangala Anjaneyar Thirukoil :

The temple is located at a distance of 50 km from the city. It is also one of the oldest temples in Tamil Nadu. Krishnadevaraya was responsible for the construction of this temple. This temple is home to worship of three deities. Hanuman is the main deity of the temple. This idol was installed by Sri Vyasaraja.

3. Arulmigu Avinashi Lingeswarar Tirukoil :

The temple is located in Avinashi, which is about 40 km from the city. Sundara Pandya built the temple in the 15th century. Car festival is the most famous festival in this temple. Many other festivals are held throughout the year. It is the largest car in South India. Visitors from all over the country visit this temple to admire its architecture and wood carvings.

4. Arulmigu Chokkalingeswarar Temple :

This temple is most visited in Coimbatore. It is located 40 km from Avinashi on the Erode road. The temple dates back to the 15th century and is considered to be of historical importance. It is customary for travelers to visit Lord Ethanari before embarking on long journeys. This temple is one of the oldest temples in Coimbatore.
