1. Chilkur Balaji Temple :
Chilkur Balaji also known as Visa Balaji is a temple located 25 km from Hyderabad. One of the largest temples in Telangana, the place for worship has many stories associated with it. The most popular stories revolve around the fact that if one makes wishes at the temple, they can be fulfilled during eleven successful rounds.
Another very popular and strange legend is that praying at this temple will win you a chance to get a visa to the US. The temple is located in the center of the state, the presiding deity of the temple is Balaji known as "Visa Balaji" by the people living there.

2. Hyderabad Birla Mandir:
One of the largest temples in Telangana, this holy place is thronged with devotees throughout the year. It is extensively carved in stone, which has its own fascinating history. Spread over an area of 13 acres, the temple is named after the Birla Foundation.
The temple premises and the main road in the hill are lined with shops selling different items like glasses, bags and street food. If you are planning a trip to Telangana, a visit to the temple is a must. The deity of the temple is "Lord Venkateswara" and inside the temple you can see the Hussain Sagar lake in all its glory.

3. Temple of Thousand Pillars :
This is another architectural marvel that exemplifies the craftsmanship of the Kakatiyas. As the name suggests, this temple is built on a thousand pillars, which is different from any other in Telangana.
Each pillar is intricately designed and decorated with designs, perforated screens and other texts that bring back the glory of the past. Warangal is one of the most important historical places in the city. Warangal is a treasure of the place included in the UNESCO heritage sites.

4. Gnana Saraswati Temple :
Basar Temple is the second most famous temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and recognized as one of the most magnificent temples in Telangana. The sacred value of the shrine has led to many visitors from devotees.
The place of worship is the holy trinity of goddesses Saraswati, Lakshmi and Kali. Since Goddess Saraswati is also known as the "Goddess of Learning" according to Hindu mythology, young children are brought to this place to engage in "literary learning", their first interaction with writing.

5. Sanghi Temple :
Perched on a hill called "Paramananda Giri", about 30 km from Hyderabad, the Sanghi Temple is one of the most famous shrines in Telangana. The magnificent architectural design of the temple is a wonderful sight to behold. Set in beautiful surroundings, this temple has the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara.
The idol of the Lord here is believed to be the idol of the Tirumala hills, which gives the temple a sacred significance. The temple is visited by devotees throughout the year who offer prayers in the temple to witness the beautiful scenery.

6. Bhadrachalam Temple :
One of the oldest temples in Telangana, the place of worship here is located near the banks of Godavari. Devotees who worship here are sure to be impressed by the splendor and beauty of this temple. The main deity at this place can be identified as Rama Chandra Murthy or Sri Rama.
The idol in the temple is believed to manifest itself or as the locals call it "Swayambhu", the shrine receives a large number of visitors throughout the year. Considered to be one of the major pilgrimage sites in the state, the temple is commonly known as the "Ayodhya of the South".

7. Surendrapuri Temple :
It is one of the famous temples and has an ancient theme park for visitors to explore. The temple is considered one of the most famous places in Telangana, an ideal place to appreciate the arts, culture and magnificent sculptures of this garden. Apart from its importance, it is famous for its 101 feet Shivalinga, known as Nagarkot. Nagarkot as well as temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Lord Venkateswara.

8. Karmanghat Hanuman:
It is one of the oldest temples in Telangana, having come into existence in the eleventh century A.D according to local legends. Karmanghat temple also adheres to the same Vedic guidelines for worship as other temples in the region. The temple is famous for curing deadly diseases and is also famous for its amazing architectural design.

9. Beachupally Anjaneya Swamy Temple :
The temple is said to have existed for the past 200 years and is often referred to as the abode of Anjaneya Swamy or Lord Hanuman. The temple is situated on one of the banks of Krishna river in Mahbubnagar district. It is also famous for the Shivalinga inside. The ideal time to visit this area is during the monsoons when the river water flows over the edge of the temple and creates a spectacular sight to behold.

10. Lakshmi Narasimha Temple :
This temple is known as the abode of Lord Narasimha who is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple is very popular among people who visit from all over the world to participate in the ancient rituals. The temple is located in a cave in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. There are many rooms inside the temple and it is a wonderful opportunity to visit the sculptures inside.

11. Bhadrakali Temple :
The temple has a long tradition and is believed to have been established by a ruling class from the Chalukya dynasty in 625 A.D. The temple has a magnificent stone sculpture depicting Goddess Bhadrakali, which is architecturally stunning. According to legend, the temple was destroyed and looted by Allading Khilji in the year 1950 and rebuilt in the year 1950.

12. Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple :
It is located on the banks of Godavari river in Bhadrachalam village. The temple was built in the 17th century and is believed to be very famous in the region. Bhadrachalam is one of the main deities of Sri Rama or Vaikuntha Rama which is not found anywhere in India.

13. Keesaragutta Temple :
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and attracts thousands of devotees from every corner during the Shivaratri evening. The temple is located 30 km from Hyderabad in Medchal-Malkajigiri district, the temple is famous for being on a small hill. Additionally, there is an ancient history associated with the temple. More recently idols worshiping Lord Shiva have been found on the steps of the temple and are believed to date back to between the 5th and 4th centuries.

14. Ramappa Temple :
This magnificent temple is situated in a quaint valley in Palampet village, about 157 km from Hyderabad. The name of the temple is a tribute to its creator, which is not unusual to see in India. The deity worshiped inside is a different form of Lord Shiva, which is visited by many devotees during the season. The design of the temple is star shaped. The pillars are decorated with wonderful sculptures.
