Shani Shingnapur Temple

There are no doors for every home in the village. In a landmark ruling on March 30, 2016, The Bombay High Court asked the Maharashtra government to not deny access to any temple. So on April 8th on the 8th of April, 2016 Shani Shingnapur Trust finally allowed entry to all temples. Shani Shingnapur Trust finally allowed women to enter the sacred sanctum of the Sanctorum.

1. Ashadi Ekadashi:

Since 1991, each year during Ashadi Ekadashi, Shaneshwar Palki is transported on horseback to Shanishingnapur up to Pandarpur with great celebration. All the devotees and trustees take part in it.

1. Ekanadhi Sashti:

In the same way, each year in 1991, in the course of Ekanadhi Sashti all devotees and trustees are involved in the journey of Shaneshwar Palki on foot from Shanishinganapur to Paithan.
